OLYMPIC LIFTING Program

Here at Tampa Sports Academy we offer instruction on any form of exercise, including the Olympic Lifts. Our platforms allow you to load up and push your limits on all of the big lifts. Challenge yourself to try something new and let our coaches walk you through a progressive olympic lifting program of how to perform each of the major Olympic Lifts.

THE LIFTS

The Olympic Lifts will challenge you in ways that will improve strength and power, while providing a novel stimulus to the body. Take a step outside of your routine and let our coaching staff teach you the ins and outs of lifting safely. The primary focus will be on learning the clean, snatch, and clean and jerk, but our coaches can teach any lift that you have an interest in.

CLEAN

From hang cleans to power cleans, our coaching staff will teach you the basics of the movement pattern and help you progress along the way.

CLEAN AND JERK

Building off the clean, the clean and jerk is one of the most classic Olympic Lifts, but it can be dangerous if done improperly. Our coaches will safely instruct you through the movement and teach you step by step how to perform the clean and jerk.

SNATCH

The snatch requires full body athleticism to perform. Taking the barbell from the floor to overhead in one motion is difficult, but with our coaching staff guiding you it will be a rewarding accomplishment.
